The Project Delivery Subcommittee of the AASHTO Standing Committee on Quality (SCOQ) conducted a survey in 2006 to investigate the best practices for Project Cost and Plan Quality nationwide. Twenty four surveys were received with twenty providing information on Project Cost and seventeen on Project Plan Package Quality. Work in Progress – 21st Century Leadership & Management Techniques

Led by the Lawrence Ferguson, member of the Performance Measures and Benchmarking Subcommittee, this study will identify and facilitate implementation of innovative and proven leadership practices from the nation’s most progressive State DOTs. Anticipated completion of study is winter, 2008.

Performance Measures Benchmarking Prototype Study

A study being led by the SCoQ Subcommittee on Performance Measurement comparing 7 DOTs comparative performance measures in on-time and on-cost project delivery for highway construction projects. Result from the study and prototype will be introduced at upcoming SCoQ and SCoH for consideration of a more comprehensive study and comparison among state DOTs and their on-time and on-cost delivery results.
