 What is Six Sigma?

A methodology that provides businesses with the tools to improve the capability of their organization processes. First commonly used in manufacturing, the process is being used in more service-oriented organizations to decrease process variation and improve the quality of product involving a data driven measure of quality eliminating defects and that nears perfection, meaning no more than 3.4 defects per million opportunities.
