Sometimes called continual improvement it is an ongoing improvement of products, services or processes through incremental and breakthrough improvements. It provides a framework for organizations to make incremental process improvements, even in those processes that are considered to be in good operating condition. It is based on the philosophy that organizations can always make improvements.
