Charter Fishing Trip
The salmon are running! Danel Sportfishing of Grand Haven will provide half-day morning or afternoon salmon fishing charters out of Chinook Pier in Grand Haven for approximately 40 people.
Date: July 14, 2009
Cost: $150 per person*, which includes:
- One-half day's charter (4-6 people per boat)
- Snacks
- Beverages (soda, bottled water, etc.)
- A one-day Michigan fishing license
- All fishing gear
- Ice
- Gratuity
- Big fish contests, with prizes going to the winners of each event
- Your fish returned to you frozen, in a shipping cooler, on the last day of the conference or, for a nominal fee, you can have your fillets shipped to your home
- A photograph of your group's catch, delivered on the last day of the conference or mailed to your home

AM Charter Details: Morning charters will run from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by time for photos and fish-cleaning. Transportation will be provided from the Amway Grand Plaza, leaving at 5 a.m. on July 14th. We will then meet for lunch at the beautiful Snug Harbor, a waterfront restaurant overlooking the Grand River channel to Lake Michigan. Transportation will be provided for our return to the Amway Grand Plaza. Morning charter participants are encouraged to arrive in Grand Rapids Monday evening, July 13, and check in at the registration table set up in the hotel lobby to confirm departure for this event.
PM Charter Details: Afternoon charters will run from 2-3 p.m. until 7-8 p.m., followed by time for photos and fish-cleaning. Transportation will be provided from the Amway Grand Plaza, leaving at various times between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., depending on the group's agenda. Those wishing to observe the morning catch and cleaning or joining the group for lunch at Snug Harbor, will leave at approximately 11 a.m. Additional transportation will be provided for those arriving in Grand Rapids later, who want to fish but will not be able to participate in the luncheon. Upon arriving at the Amway Grand Plaza, please check in with the events coordinator in the hotel lobby to confirm your departure time. Afternoon charters will return to the Amway Grand Plaza at approximately 9 p.m.
Participants will need to wear weather appropriate attire (rain gear, hats, sunscreen, etc.). Each boat contains enclosed cabins and has private marine toilets.
